Before all the “feminists” of the world attack me, please let me explain. Actually, let me define:
Accessory: a thing that can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive.
Okay, perhaps you don’t like being referred to as a “thing”, but notice the impact. An addition that makes something MORE USEFUL, VERSATILE or ATTRACTIVE. Do you not recognize what an ASSET & JEWEL God designed the woman to be?
Ever heard of the term “an accessory to the crime”? There is a reason the “accessory” is charged and found fault with. The reason is that even the law realizes that although the “accessory” may not be the chief agent in the crime, he or she carries a great deal of influence in its execution. Pause right there.
Ever heard someone say that the woman may not be “the head, but the head can’t turn without the neck”? It’s true. God designed the woman to be a man’s help mate: not his equal, not a replacement, not the front line of defense and certainly not the last man out. However, she was his “help-mate”. More than just a pretty face, possession or companion, the woman was created to labor with the man; build with him; create with him and provide the emotional strength, protection and encouragement so he could “take on the world”. In this beautiful, divinely inspired union, the two could create the impossible through the power of God. And that is just the abridged version.
Today what do we see? A perversion and distortion of the originally created plan. Just the title of this blog immediately offends many women. Society’s opinions, ever changing ideologies and trends, have led to the brokenness and the demise of the perceived value of the opposite sex’s worth. How sad.
Even worse, women who are single such as myself, may read this article and feel less than or sad if they currently aren’t in a relationship. Unlike jewelry or a clothing item, you are not sitting around or on display until someone makes a purchase. You are created to be an “accessory” in the world, in your community and to your city, state, country and nation.
Married, single or other, we must all “occupy until He comes” (Luke 19:13). Be about your father’s business and an “accessory” to His kingdom.
(Take a look below at just a few of God's "accessories" in the people and leave a comment to tell me what type of "accessory" or "jewel" are you?)
