Oh, I truly understand why people do not want to wear glasses, especially if they did not have to wear them as a child (like I did). I can only imagine how, with the additional aches and pains that come with age, one may want to avoid wearing glasses and preserve one of the signs of youth.
However, denying that you need glasses and refusing to wear them, is not only damaging but PAINFUL! Review the following facts and see how they apply to other areas of your life (information provided by Essilor USA):
Are your growth, vision and prosperity stunted because of your refusal and rebellion to seek help? Are you damaging your potential and gifts due to your stubbornness? Are you building a foundation of quicksand for your future? Does your “nearsightedness” require a certain measure of power to be taken away from your “eye” so you can “see” at a distance?
Despite the reasons one might have to avoid wearing “glasses” when needed, the entire goal of prescription glasses is to help you see with the clearest vision possible. Avoiding a tool that was designed to correct a defect, can lead to long term damage, pain and limited function. People refuse to seek help for what they need, from marriage and relationships to business. You cannot confront what you refuse to face.
Stop suffering in silence when there are resources available for every area of your life. As most things, corrections are best made in the beginning of a problem versus prolonging the issue and increasing the amount of help required.
