As a radio personality, it is my job to keep abreast of trending topics as well as what people are saying about them. I also understand how media can skew the issues and promote stories in order to take your attention away from the real issues. Despite what you feel about the Bruce/Caitlyn Jennfer story, there is one lesson that this transformation offers to all us personally and professionally.
Life offers plenty of opportunities for you to reinvent yourself and transform. This concept is not only a good idea but mandatory if you want to experience real growth and elevation. Just know that, as you seek real change and emerge/relaunch-rebrand yourself, there will always be those who are looking for the old you:
You can make your own lists of the negativity you experience along your journey or all the fears you have in your head of what people will say if you step out of your comfort zone. Sure, initially it is easy to listen to them and just go with the status quo; mediocrity appears to be convenient. Stepping outside of the box and daring to be different or extraordinary is not for the weak; it is hard, taxing and sometimes devastating. However, ask yourself this: would you rather work every day in mediocrity fulfilling someone else’s vision and storing away wealth for their future generations or would you rather exercise your gift/divine purpose and be the star that you were divinely inspired to be?
Hmmmm, now how easy/convenient/comfortable is mediocrity long-term? Dare to be bold, be beautiful and be you; after you weather the storm, like Caitlyn Jenner, you will be at peace and feel like you are who you were meant to be. Otherwise, you will always live a life where you are frustrated, disappointed and feel like you are suffocating.
